Ingryd scores packaged food for people taking GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide. Scan a barcode and you get a 0–100 nutrition score built on Nutri-Score 2023, the front-of-pack labelling algorithm used across much of Europe.

Where a food is genuinely protein-dense, the score also reflects the treatment phase you select — because published guidance identifies muscle loss as the main nutritional risk during rapid weight loss. For most foods the score is the same whichever phase you choose, and Ingryd tells you when that is the case.

It's a food-information tool, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the makers of any medication.

  1. 1 Tell Ingryd your treatment phase. Starting or increasing your dose, stable dose while losing weight, or maintenance — set it in seconds.
  2. 2 Scan any barcode. Point your camera at a product at the store or in your pantry.
  3. 3 See the score and the reasoning. Which nutrients counted for and against it, whether your phase changed anything, and which published sources the reasoning rests on.

The base score uses Nutri-Score 2023, the front-of-pack nutrition algorithm published by Santé publique France and used across much of Europe. Not a proprietary wellness algorithm.

The protein weighting draws on published GLP-1 nutrition guidance — principally a 2025 joint advisory from four professional bodies, which reported that 5.3 kg of the 13.6 kg lost in the STEP 1 trial was lean body mass. How much protein is weighted in each phase is Ingryd's own calibration; the studies support prioritising protein, they do not specify those multipliers. The app says so on every score.

Product nutrition data comes from USDA FoodData Central — manufacturer-submitted data for products sold in the United States, bundled into the app. Imported or non-US products may not be in the database.

No account. No login. Your profile and scan history stay on your device. Ingryd makes no network calls and transmits, tracks, or sells nothing. The camera is used only to read barcodes — no images are stored.

Yes. Ingryd is free to download and use.

Does Ingryd give medical advice?

No. Ingryd provides information only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Always consult your healthcare provider before making dietary changes, especially while taking GLP-1 or other medications.

What medications does it work with?

Ingryd is built around GLP-1 therapy generally — semaglutide and tirzepatide medications. You choose your treatment phase, and where a food is protein-dense that phase changes how much its protein counts toward the score.

Do you collect my data?

No. Everything stays on your device. Ingryd has no account system, makes no network calls, and uses no analytics or tracking of any kind.

Where does the food data come from?

From USDA FoodData Central — manufacturer-submitted data in a public U.S. government database — bundled directly into the app.

Is it available outside the United States?

Not yet. The product database covers food sold in the United States, and barcodes differ from country to country, so scanning would mostly fail elsewhere. Ingryd is currently on the US App Store only.

Does my treatment phase change every score?

No — and Ingryd tells you when it hasn't. The phase changes the score only for foods that are genuinely protein-dense, about one product in eight. For everything else the score is the same whichever phase you select.
